NJ SUBURBAN YOUTH FOOTBALL LEAGUE
PAL will sponsor teams in the Suburban Youth Football League. The League teams are divided by age, weight and experience. The approximate grades for the teams are as follows: D team - 5th graders; C team - 6th graders; B team - 7th grades only; A team - 8th grades only.
IN TOWN :
PAL will sponsor an In Town Football program. The Junior Level program will consist of 3rd graders and some 4th graders. The Senior Level In Town will consist of more experienced 4th graders, all first year 5th graders and those experienced 5th graders that choose not to play on the D Team in the NJSYFL. These programs are contingent upon having enough registered players therefore it is important that parents register as soon as possible so that final plans can be made.
DETAILS:
Teams and players must comply with League weight, age and grade limitation requirements. All new players must submit a copy of their birth certificate. The PAL will supply helmets, mouth guards and game uniforms. Players are responsible for all other equipment needed.
**IMPORTANT - MANDATORY BASE LINE CONCUSSION TESTING FOR ALL PLAYERS 5TH GRADE AND OLDER**
Base line testing must be completed prior to the start of the season. Information will be provided on the website shortly.
Registration fees are as follows:
- Registrations received ON OR BEFORE June 15, 2013 - $200.00 per player (family cap of $500.00)
- Registrations received AFTER June 15, 2013 - $225 per player (with a family cap of $550.00)
KEY DATES:
Pre season helmet handout/fittings- Tamaques Shed at Tamaques Park(2 dates )- Saturday June 22nd, 10 am -12 noon, Wednesday July 24th, 6-8 pm.
Start of PRACTICE-
Tuesday Aug 20th 6-8pm
Non -pads practice, helmets only- Tuesday Aug 20, Weds Aug 21, Thursday Aug 22, 6-8 pm
Full pads practice-
ALL PLAYERS-Monday Aug 26rd through Thursday Aug 29th (4 days) 6-8 pm
ALL PLAYERS-Tuesday Sep 3rd through Friday Sept 6 (4 days) 6-8 pm
NJSYFL PLAYERS-Tuesday Sept 10th, Weds Sept 11th, Friday Sept 13th (3 days) 6-8 pm
INTOWN PLAYERS- Monday Sept 9
th, Thursday, Sept 12th.
*PLEASE NOTE that after Sept 6 the regular practice schedule for the remainder of the season will be-
